Valcarol: What is it? How is it pronounced? Is it just an escape room?
Names! For many of us, our name is special. I’m one of the owners of The Valcarol Missions Escape Room in the Charlotte|Concord area and my name was chosen by my mom, years before I was ever born. She read a great piece of literature and decided she would name her child after a character in her beloved novel. So, you might find it interesting that we decided to name our escape room business after our moms, Valerie and Carol. We put the names together, much like Renesme from The Twilight saga, and there you have it! Valcarol! You say it just like the names Val and Carol are said. Now you know how we came up with the name of our escape room business and how the name is pronounced.
Next, we’ll get more into the story of Valcarol. Valcarol is not only part of the name of our escape room business, but it is the name of the spaceship featured in our story. The name Valcarol just happens to sound like a spaceship name in a science-fiction saga, so it is perfect for our escape room’s spaceship! All of our escape rooms are connected in some way, to the general backstory of Valcarol. In the future, the Valcarol spaceship rescues a select few humans from the apocalypse, but later must land due to the water filtration system breaking. She is a gloriously rusty spaceship that has landed in Gibson Mill, Concord NC. You will see her, as soon as you near our establishment. When you decide to venture on one of our missions, you are doing it for the people of Valcarol, who have landed on earth and need your help. Therefore, you are choosing to embark on one of The Valcarol Missions, when you book your adventure with our escape room!
